Who it is for: High-achieving low-income high school seniors
One of the most prestigious and generous scholarships available. QuestBridge partners with 50+ top colleges including Yale, Stanford, and MIT to offer full four-year scholarships. If you have a GPA above 3.5 and your family earns under $65,000 a year, this should be your number one priority application.
Who it is for: High school seniors with an original research project
The most prestigious STEM competition in the country. You do not need to have discovered a cure for cancer, but you do need an original research project. Science, math, engineering, and computer science projects all qualify.
Who it is for: Students with strong leadership potential, any GPA
Posse does not just give you money, it gives you a community. Selected students attend their partner college with a cohort of 10 other scholars. Leadership potential matters more than grades here.
Who it is for: High-achieving students with financial need
One of the largest private scholarships in America. The Cooke Foundation is serious about finding students who have done a lot with very little. Community college students transferring to four-year universities are also eligible.
Who it is for: Minority students with financial need, GPA 3.3+
Funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, this scholarship covers everything tuition, room and board, books, and more. It also comes with mentorship and leadership development support.
Who it is for: African American high school seniors
Named after the late Secretary of Commerce Ron Brown, this scholarship rewards academic excellence, leadership, and community service. Scholars also become part of a lifelong network of high achievers.
Who it is for: Minority students with leadership potential and financial need
This is not just a scholarship it is a four-year program. Recipients receive mentoring, career development, and access to an incredible alumni network.
Who it is for: Junior-year college students committed to public service
If you want to work in government, nonprofit, education, or public policy, the Truman is the gold standard. It also opens doors to graduate school funding.
Who it is for: High school seniors with leadership and community service
One of the most well-known scholarships in the country. Coca-Cola Scholars are selected based on character, leadership, and service, not just GPA. Over 1,400 scholars are selected each year.
Who it is for: Students who have faced and overcome adversity, GPA 2.0+
This scholarship is specifically for students who have overcome significant challenges. If you have dealt with family hardship, financial instability, or other obstacles, your story is exactly what the Horatio Alger Association wants to hear.
